THANK YOU SO MUCH FAIRY FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK AND EFFORT ON THE RULES. WE LOVE YOU, TANK YOU AGAIN FROM ALL THE STAFF AT ELYSIUM!
G E N E R A L R U L E S
- ELYSIUM is a Intermediate - Advanced RPG
- You can have as many characters as you want, as long as you can keep them all active.
- God-modeling and powerplaying are not allowed. This should be a given.
- We ask that you use proper spelling and grammar, as well as complete and good sentences.
- Cursing is allowed In Character (IC), but not Out Of Character (OOC), please and thank you.
- Respect must always be given to both staff and members. Please do not fight with anyone, or be rude on any level. This pertains to the cbox as well.
- Absolutely no sexist or racist comments in or out of character.
- Remember that you don't always have to find true love for your characters. We have a Plots Board to help keep your characters active and interesting.
- The C-box is up for your personal use. Please obey the cbox rules and staff.
- No asking staff if you can become a staff. We choose who we think is capable of being staff, if you ask us your request will be ignored and your chances of becoming staff will be ruined.
- NO SPAMMING! Please don't join the board and then bug us to join yours. If you join Elysium you are here for Elysium.
- Don't bug a person asking them to reply or why haven't they and such. They will get to it when they have time. We do have lives outside of the computer.

- We require a minimum of 400 words for IC posts. If you are having difficulty with this, just ask another member to help you. We are all here to help each other.
- Please make sure you clearly separate IC and OOC,
- Swearing is to be kept strictly to IC posts.
- No chat speak. Please use the correct spelling.
- We have seasons posted for you to go off of, but you can age your character when you like (but please keep within reason).
- We allow Liquid time, meaning your character can be in more then just once place at one time.[
- Please keep in mind if you wish to rp as a royal or audition as a God you must be able to post 400 words or more. However, we really want Royals and Gods to be able to rp at least 600 or more. This position is not taken lightly and we would really appreciate this.

- Please make sure you fill out the entire form that pertains to your character.
- Wait to be accepted by a staff member before you start role playing. This should not take very long, so please be patient.
- Do not bug staff about accepting your bio. We have lives and are busy, it will get looked at within a few days.
- ELYSIUM allows any breed of horse and hybrids as well.
- Please keep all breeds, heights, colors, and such realistic. This is not a fantasy site.
- Please follow the bio form. Do not take any parts of it out. You may add to it, as long as the basics are still there.

- Stallions must be at least three years old to claim a land.
- Mares may not claim lands, except for the Royal Herd Lands if they are open. Refer to the Royal Section below for details.
- You may only have one stallion owning a land per each alliance.
- Please post a claiming thread, and herd stats to claim an unclaimed herd territory.
- you must send a description for the land you have claimed that corresponds with the alliance. For reference, look at the gods lands.
- Staff does not need to approve of your claim, unless it was a challenge.
- Keep your lands active! For now we do not have a rule about innactivity unless a staff feels that there is nothing going on in that land anymore and will put it back up for claim. But please, keep it active..

- Stallions may challenge for land, mares, or foals.
- Mares may challenge for positions within a herd, including lead mare. Mares may also challenge for foals. Not land.
- You must notify the member that owns the land/mare plus a staff member by PM before the fight starts, In Character, inside the herd lands you want, or the herd lands the horse you want lives in.
- If the owner does not post within 3 days for a mare or foal, 5 days for land, then you win by default.
- If the owner has posted in the Away/Leaving Thread, then no challenges can be made for a maximum of two weeks. After two weeks, the lands will be available for claiming, the herd is free to stay or leave, and the previous lead will have to challenge to regain their leadership.
- Challenges must be accepted, though the outcome/terms can be talked over and amended beforehand.

- Both mares and stallions may fight. They can fight the same gender, or fight the opposite sex.
- A stallion will not always win against a mare.
- Fighting consists of four hits and two dodges. Unless stated otherwise before the fight.
- All terms must be agreed on by both players before the fight.
- Fights must take place in the fighting grounds, not in a herd land.
- Power-playing and God-modeling are not allowed, you will be docked heavily for doing such things.
- Two staff members, chosen before the fight by each fight participant, will judge the fight based on equine stats, age, health, role playing ability, and who did the most damage with realistic attacks

- Steals last five days in that time of which that the other people can try and block the unknown character.
- If a stallion is unable to guess the equine being stolen within 5 days, the stallion, mare, or foal belongs to the stealer.
- You may steal stallions, mares, or foals, but one at a time, and never the lead stallion.
- You may not steal lands.
- Your post must contain a minimum of five clues or hints leading towards the character which you are trying to steal.
- You may not post a steal for a mare or foal if there has already been a steal for a mare/foal in that same herd for that week. Only one steal for every herd in a week.
- Lead mares may be stolen, but be prepared for whatever the stallion may do.
- When you create your steal, please make sure to include the name of the character that is making the steal, and the starting and ending date.
- After the 5 days are up, please clearly state: whom you stole from, who you stole, the hints that were within your post, and please contact a staff member to approve of your steal.
- Only the leads may block characters, if a lead is away, however, then one herd member of next high rank can step up to block in their absence.
- If a herd has been stolen from, they are immune to steals for one week before it is allowed to be stolen from again.
- Only two steals per person per week please.
- All genders can steal all genders. Meaning that mares can steal mares, and stallions can steal stallions.

- ELYSIUM does not permit graphic breeding and birthing. If you wish to role-play these graphically then do this thru pm's or somewhere else.
- Breeding is to be kept inside the Land Of Dreams where breeding is permitted.
- You do not have to role play the birth, but can if you wish.
- The role players that role play the parents must use the correct form in the right board and post the parents stats.
- Only a staff member/God can post foal stats.
- Post in the correct board, not a herd land.
- You may breed and foal in any season. If the foal is born in spring, it will usually live. In summer, it will usually live. But in fall, it is rare that a foal will survive (chances are cut to 50%). In winter, foals almost never survive (special permission is needed from a staff member for a foal to live during this season).
- Once your characters have bred, you have 1-3 weeks to give birth to it. If you give birth to it too early, the foal will be considered a miscarriage, and if born too late it will be born still/dead (unless you have special permission).
- You must only post the stats of the parents on the day you wish to birth the foal.
- When posting your foal creation thread, you will need to include the father's stats, the mother's stats, and a link to the thread where they bred. After this is done, a staff member will come and create your foal for you.

- Royals may update the board information of their alliance boards at any time to anything they want by sending a PM to a staff member. This includes board titles, and descriptions however, please talk to the God of the alliance first.
- A mare may claim a royal territory alone but must have a stallion leading beside her within two weeks or she forfeits the land.
- Royals may also choose to decide who rules a territory. They may replace current territory leaders at any given time.
- Royals may set any laws they desire that the entire alliance must obey.
- Both Queen and King can overthrow each other and have a new mate enter power. This is done by challenging each other to a fight.
- If the King wants a certain mare, or the Queen a certain stallion, they get it as long as the mare’s or stallion's alliance is the same as their own. This includes taking a mare from a stallion and force-claiming a mare in any land.
- If the King wants to breed with another stallion's mare that lives inside his alliance territories, the mare and the stallion do not have a choice (This is limited to 3 mares per season. Also you cannot breed the same mare twice in a role play year).
- The King and Queen may force claim and force breed in any land. But for force breeding, they must provide a warning note for other readers.
- Only the King or Queen can declare a war/ battle with an opposing alliance, however they must be ready for whatever the Gods have waiting for them.
- The King and Queen have the ability to ban horses from their alliance’s territories for a certain amount of reasonable time.
- In a battle against a Royal, the King or Queen should be given one bonus point just because they are royal.
- If an equine does not obey, or misbehaves, the horse can be banned, or forced as a slave. Please note, the King and Queen may mildly wound a horse without the owner's permission, but can not kill a horse without the owner’s permission (A mild wound is considered a good bite/kick/scrape. Something minimal to punish disrespect. Important: This powerplay ability is erased in battles and is only to be used in the Royal's own Alliance lands. Royals abusing the powerplay ability would be warned first and then dethroned by a mod second time around).
- If your character objects to the King’s or Queen's demands or orders, he can challenge them. For example, if the King is going to breed with a stallion’s mare, the stallion can challenge the King to a battle, and if the stallion wins he gets to keep the mare. If the stallion loses, the King may choose his punishment.
- Slaves can challenge the royals for their freedom, and whichever royal that wants to keep them a slave most can respond and carry out the fight.

- Gods are the almighty rulers of Elysium. Their say is the final say.
- Gods overpower the Royals.
- Gods have the right to powerplay.
- Gods can kill you. BAM; and you're dead. They can do much more than this, as well. They can drive you mad, give you a disease, deform or kill your foal, anything. They do not enjoy using their powers for evil, so don't go out of your way to anger a God, you will be in trouble.
- If you gain the favor of a God, you may be allowed to enter their homelands. Any horse setting foot on the turf of any of the Gods turns immortal, but they aren't allowed to come and go as they please. The Gods will allow them to leave the territories to visit wherever they came from, but if they come and go too often, the Gods will lock them in one place or the other. Most horses achieving immortality live their lives out in one of the Gods lands.
- Horses do NOT become immortal often! Perhaps one horse, or two at tops, will even see a God around often enough to gain its favor. Do not go around asking to enter the gods lands
Thank you for reading the rules it is greatly appreciated.
